German Shorthair Versatile Hunting Dog

 

Hi Jared,

Now that we have had a chance to do some hunting (in areas that actually have birds) I wanted to take a moment to share with you how much I appreciate the dog I got from you, and all of your efforts training him.  Bolt  is a great dog, and an excellent hunter.  I have hunted behind many dogs for pheasant, mostly shorthairs, since I was a kid with my grandfather, and Bolt is the best I have ever seen.  I worked at a training facility for a year and he surpasses all of the setters and pointers that were in a the kennel, customer dogs and so called “finished dogs” for sale.  I am proud to own him.  We have found birds left in the field by other dogs, been in miserable weather, high wind, sub-freezing temperate, and Bolt never quits.  He’s so nice with our kids and other dogs. He has now been duck hunting quite a bit (a new thing for him) and is staying in the blind nicely, watches the sky and retrieves brilliantly!  Thank you so much.  I will always refer people to bestgundogs.com and to you, and I look forward to purchasing another dog from you someday.
