Hunting Dogs for Sale

Out Training

We often have started dogs for sale to active upland hunting homes. Our dogs are well started with basic obedience, loading & unloading, pointing birds, retrieving to hand, steady to wing, e-collar conditioned and accustomed to gun fire. We use live bobwhite quail and wild-caught pigeons in our gun dog training to ensure that your dog is ready to go hunting. Often we compete with our started dogs in AKC hunt tests and club fun hunts to gauge their progress in the bird dog training process. Call or e-mail for availability.

One of the things we do when we have a dog with little experience is to set them up for success. For example in this situation have you done much retriever training with the dog? We like to do some basic work with each dog so they understand commands and what is expected before I get to discouraged on a dog that didn’t find the birds after the kill in this instance. Try backing up and playing a simple fetch game with the dog. If he will then it’s just a matter of bird work and time spent in the field.

    Hello,

We are looking for a puppy and we like the way Bruce looks (big headed/boned). We currently have a German shepard puppy a year in a half and she needs a friend. Our puppy be expected to go feed cows, ride in the back of the truck, go on the boat and yes go dove hunt. We only keep two at a time because they are so special to us, true family members. What do you have? Would take something a little older even. photos? Thank you, Bricklee

    Hello Jared,
I was wondering if you still have Bruce or Bolt and what price you are asking for each. I am looking for a hunting dog that will be a family pet 99% of the time and a hunting dog 1% of the time. We have a fantastic golden, but all he does is lay around and love everybody and I would like a dog that I can take to the fields as well. I have hunted with dogs many times but I would not even know where to start in training one, which is why I am interested in one that has most of his training completed.
    Thanks,
    Jason
